Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine
Our nationally and internationally recognized physician specialists offer comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of lung disorders, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, lung cancer, and undiagnosed or general respiratory problems.
We treat patients through a large outpatient program in the Winchester Center for Lung Disease, as well as hospital inpatient and primary care services. Our physician specialists staff Yale's critical care services 24/7 and offer advanced critical care interventions. Winchester Center for Lung Disease is adjacent to a state-of-the-art Pulmonary Function Laboratory where specialists perform tests to evaluate lung function, respiratory muscle strength, gas exchange, and other aspects of pulmonary physiology. Patients with sleep disorders are treated at Yale Sleep Centers in New Haven, North Haven, and Madison.
Our physician specialists provide consultative care through all adult inpatient and primary care services in the medical intensive care units (MICUs) at Yale New Haven Health locations in New Haven, within the outpatient clinic at the Veterans Administration (VA) CT Medical Center (Newington and West Haven campuses), and MICU at the West Haven campus.
