Lobular Neoplasia

Definition

Lobular neoplasia is a breast lesion characterized by abnormal cell growth in the lobules of the breast, which are the milk-producing glands. It is considered a risk factor for developing invasive breast cancer and can be classified into two types: atypical lobular hyperplasia (ALH) and lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS).
