Corticobasal degeneration (CBD) is a rare, progressive neurological disorder characterized by the degeneration of nerve cells in specific areas of the brain, leading to movement and cognitive impairments. The condition typically affects adults over the age of 60 and presents with symptoms such as muscle stiffness, tremors, difficulty with balance and coordination, and speech difficulties.
