Biography

Timothy Belliveau, PhD, is a neuropsychologist specializing in the evaluation and rehabilitation of patients following traumatic brain injury. His expertise lies in conducting comprehensive assessments that measure the scope of symptoms, cognitive abilities, and emotional adjustments of individuals who have experienced neurological conditions or injuries.

Belliveau’s clinical research aims to improve early intervention strategies for patients with concussion to minimize prolonged symptoms. He focuses on integrating data systems for better monitoring of patients' symptoms and functional status after traumatic injuries, collaborating with neurology and neuropsychiatry colleagues to enhance clinical decision-making.

As an associate professor of neurology at Yale School of Medicine, Belliveau's research aligns closely with his clinical work. He is involved in projects that utilize digital health technology for remote monitoring and develop models to assess risk for prolonged post-concussive symptoms. Additionally, he is working on refining cognitive assessment tools to better measure cognitive decline, leveraging advanced statistical methods to aid neuropsychologists in diagnostic evaluation.

Belliveau completed his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at The Catholic University of America. He underwent a two-year internship in clinical psychology and a fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at NewYork-Presbyterian. His contributions to the field are aimed at integrating clinical decision support tools to enhance the accuracy of diagnoses and treatment plans in neuropsychology.
