Samir Gautam, MD, PhD

Samir Gautam, MD, PhD, is a pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine specialist who cares for people with conditions such as asthma, a chronic lung disease that causes inflammation and narrowing of the airways.

He provides advanced respiratory support for adults in need of critical care and works closely with patients to manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

Dr. Gautam is an assistant professor of medicine (pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine) at Yale School of Medicine, where he also earned his medical and doctorate degrees. He also completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine at Yale School of Medicine.
