Biography

Kelly Voccola, MSW, LCSW, provides psychological counseling for children and adolescents at the Yale Child Study Center. She practices trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Both approaches aim to help patients interact differently with their thoughts and change how they react to them.

“I truly appreciate being able to work with children and their families,” Voccola says. “Helping patients reach their full potential despite the barriers and challenges they face is very motivating for me.”

Voccola says she always tells patients they are not alone in their fight.

“I tell them we will support them in any way we can and work together to ensure their needs are met,” she says.

She is assistant professor of social work in the Yale School of Medicine.
