Kate Couturier, MD, MPH
Biography
Kate Couturier, MD, is an emergency medicine physician who cares for individuals experiencing urgent or life-threatening conditions. She provides rapid evaluation and treatment to stabilize patients and manages a wide range of medical emergencies.
As an assistant professor of emergency medicine at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Couturier works to advance the field by mentoring future doctors and refining strategies to improve operations, safety, and training for emergency medical teams. She also studies methods to enhance patient outcomes during critical care and has contributed chapters to academic textbooks about dive medicine and circadian biology, which involves the body’s internal clock that regulates sleep patterns.
Dr. Couturier completed her medical training at Tufts University School of Medicine and pursued residency in emergency medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital.
