Biography
Jennifer McMahon, MD, is a psychiatrist who specializes in psychosomatic medicine, which focuses on how emotional and physical factors interact in illness. She helps patients navigate mood disorders, anxiety, and other concerns that can coincide with ongoing medical issues.
As an assistant professor of psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. McMahon studies the relationship between mental well-being and physical health. Her work aims to improve the understanding of stress-related conditions and the psychological components of chronic disease.
Dr. McMahon received her medical training from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, then completed residency at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program and pursued a fellowship at Boston University Medical Center.
