J Christian Belisario, DO, MS, is a board-certified physiatrist, or a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), and is fellowship-trained in sports medicine.
Dr. Belisario focuses on the diagnosis and nonoperative treatment of sports-related injuries and other musculoskeletal injuries and conditions in both athletes and non-athletes.
As an active person himself, Dr. Belisario says he has sustained various injuries that have required rehabilitation.
“I can relate to patients and truly understand what it means to recover from an injury and return to doing the things that keep oneself healthy and happy,” he says. “It is a very rewarding experience to help patients get better and reach their goals.”
Dr. Belisario has training in musculoskeletal ultrasound and offers various treatments, including ultrasound-guided injections. “I like to take my time and formulate a collaborative, comprehensive, and realistic care plan with my patients based on their individual and unique goals to optimize their function and quality of life. I also like to promote my patients’ well-being and work with them on injury prevention ” he says.
