Biography
Aziez Ahmed, MBBS, is a pediatric cardiologist and medical director of the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Ahmed became a doctor because he wanted to provide compassionate care to children and was especially fascinated by the workings of the heart. “I am fascinated by the nexus of physiology and anatomy in congenital heart disease, and the dynamic nature of acute cardiac critical care,” he says.
An assistant professor at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Ahmed has special interests in pediatric congenital heart disease and outcomes research focused on clinical decision-making tools driven by big data.
