Anna Kaplan, FNP (BC), MSN, BSN
Biography
Anna Kaplan, FNP (family nurse practitioner), specializes in taking care of craniofacial (skull and face) plastic and reconstructive surgery patients.
Kaplan says she enjoys working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to manage patients with a variety of conditions, including craniosynostosis(a birth defect in which the bones in a baby’s skull join together too early), cleft lip and palate, plagiocephaly(flattening on one side of the skull), facial feminization surgery for transgender patients, and congenital ear deformities that require ear molding.
“Receiving a craniofacial diagnosis can be overwhelming for patients and families. These conditions will often require not only acute intervention but long-term follow up as well,” she says. “I enjoy working closely with patients and families to help walk them through all phases of their care, as well as being a familiar face and point of contact for their care across the lifespan.”
