Biography

Anita Kohli, MD, completed her undergraduate education at the University of Maryland, where she graduated summa cum laude with high honors. She then attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she graduated magna cum laude and served as the president of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her residency and neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the Scheie Eye Institute at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

As a neuro-ophthalmologist, Dr. Kohli specializes in the management of vision loss, double vision, and neurological causes of vision deficits in adults and children, in addition to the surgical management of strabismus in adults. Her research interests include the use of MRI and ophthalmic imaging technologies to guide the management of these conditions. Her clinical interests include resident education, and she was awarded the Bruce Shields Faculty Teacher of the Year award in 2019. She has also been accepted to the Medical Education Fellowship at Yale. She is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society.
