Biography
Alyssa French, MD, is a specialist in emergency medicine who has dedicated three decades to working as a "nocturnist," exclusively handling overnight shifts in the emergency department. Highly respected by residents, students, and the nursing team, Dr. French is known for her ability to resolve crises with grace under pressure.
As a professor of emergency medicine at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. French is particularly adept at guiding residents through the unique challenges of nighttime patient care. Her clinical experience has also given her a strong interest in preventing interpersonal violence, a skill she emphasizes in her work with students.
