Biography

Adeel Zubair, MD, is a neurologist with a specialization in neuromuscular medicine. He cares for patients with memory disorders, migraines, muscle disorders, and those who have had abnormal neuroimaging. “I enjoy interacting with my patients and crafting a plan that works to help diagnose and treat their concerns,” he says.

Dr. Zubair decided to work in neurology because he wanted to be part of field that involved constant learning, and where he could help people. “The neurologic examination can help localize problems and is an integral part of the neurologist's toolbox. Talking and getting to know patients allows me to understand them as a whole, allowing us to work together to make an appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic plan," he says.

An assistant professor of neurology at Yale School of Medicine (YSM), Dr. Zubair is involved in medical education at YSM and has clinical research interests in a variety of neurologic disorders. He also participated in a neurology rotation at Makerere University in Uganda through the Yale/Stanford J& Global Health Scholars Program.
