Treating Cancer with CAR‑T Cell Therapy

July 13, 2026

CAR‑T cell therapy is a type of immunotherapy that uses a patient’s own immune cells to help identify and destroy cancer cells. It is currently used to treat certain blood cancers and is being studied in other cancer types. Yale School of Medicine researchers are examining how this approach works in the body and how it may be used more effectively across different patients. This research is helping inform how and when CAR‑T therapy may be an option in cancer care. Learn more about this research in the video above.
