Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
We specialize in treating conditions and disabilities resulting from disease or injury involving any organ system. Physicians trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation are referred to as physiatrists. Our physiatrists focus not just on one part of the body, but instead on the development of a comprehensive program for putting the pieces of a person's life back together—medically, socially, emotionally, and vocationally—after injury or disease.
Our team of physiatrists creates patient-centered treatment plans to restore function and quality of life for patients. We treat a wide range of conditions affecting the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and nervous system.
We work collaboratively with other specialists, including neurologists, physical therapists, neurosurgeons, psychologists, social workers, and occupational and speech therapists. Working together, our specialists help restore patients’ lives following injuries that range from minor problems to more severe conditions, such as spinal cord or traumatic brain injuries. We also offer rehabilitation to improve many body functions, including movement, speech, language, and bladder and bowel conditions.
