Understanding pain during IUD insertion

Are you scheduled for an IUD insertion at the Center for Women's Health & Midwifery or Yale Medicine Family Planning Clinics located at 789 Howard Avenue, New Haven, CT?
Participation will last only during already scheduled IUD insertion visits, taking up to 1 hour. Participants will complete questionnaires before, during, and after IUD insertion; and provide feedback on pain during IUD insertion. Participants will be randomized for use of an FDA cleared device to provide a type of pain relief therapy during their IUD insertion. Compensation will be provided as a thank you for your time ($15 gift card).

Healthy women over the age of 18 who are scheduled for an IUD insertion at the Center for Women’s Health and Midwifery or Yale Family Planning Clinics located at 789 Howard Avenue in New Haven, CT.
