  • Study HIC#:2000036007
  • Last Updated:10/28/2024

Is your child living with sickle cell disease? Sickle cell disease (SCD) is the most common genetic blood disorder worldwide and a rapidly growing global health problem that remains poorly understood. If your child is 16 years of age or younger, they can play an important role in research by volunteering for a free and confidential study Yale is conducting to better understand the immune system of those with sickle cell disease. Their participation could lead to important breakthroughs in treatment and care. Study procedures include medical record review and blood draws.
