Neurobiological memory processes promoting generalized alcohol-seeking behavior

This is a research study on memory and decision making. Study procedures will include: an intake visit to complete questionnaires and a behavioral session which you will complete a computer-based task while your eye movements are recorded. The main purpose of this study is to understand how we learn and use different kinds of information.

    Trial Purpose and Description

    This study represents the first effort to quantify alcohol-related memory generalization and determine how dopaminergic and adrenergic signaling contribute to this bias.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Inclusion Criteria:

    • 18-80 years old
    • Fluent in English
    • Has tried alcohol

    Exclusion Criteria:

    • Neurological disorders
    • Use of Parkinson’s medication
