Urethrocele, Urethral Prolapse

Definition

Urethrocele, also known as urethral prolapse, is a medical condition characterized by the protrusion of the female urethra through the vaginal opening. This occurs when the supporting tissues and muscles around the urethra weaken, causing the urethra to sag and bulge outward. It can result in various symptoms and may require treatment depending on the severity.
