Turbinate Reduction

Definition

Turbinate reduction is a medical procedure aimed at reducing the size of the nasal turbinates, which are bony structures inside the nose that help filter, warm, and humidify the air we breathe. Enlarged turbinates can cause nasal obstruction, leading to difficulty breathing and other symptoms. The procedure can be performed using various techniques, such as radiofrequency ablation, laser therapy, or surgical removal.
