Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA)
Definition
Testicular sperm aspiration (TESA) is a minimally invasive medical procedure used to extract sperm directly from the testicles. It is typically performed when there is an obstruction in the reproductive tract or in cases of low sperm count, allowing for the retrieval of sperm for use in assisted reproductive techniques such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
