Definition

A temporal bone fracture is a break or crack in the temporal bone, one of the skull's bones located at the sides and base of the skull, near the ear. This type of fracture can result from head trauma, such as a fall, car accident, or sports injury. It may lead to complications like hearing loss, facial nerve injury, or cerebrospinal fluid leakage.
