Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis

Definition

Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) are rare, severe skin reactions often triggered by medications. They are characterized by the widespread detachment of the top layer of skin (epidermis) from the lower layers, leading to blistering, peeling, and potential life-threatening complications.
