Rheumatoid Factor (RF) Test

Definition

The rheumatoid factor (RF) test is a blood test used to detect the presence of rheumatoid factor, an autoantibody produced by the immune system. Elevated levels of rheumatoid factor can indicate the presence of autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis or Sjögren's syndrome, but may also be present in other conditions or in healthy individuals.
