Retinoschisis is a rare eye condition characterized by the splitting of the retina into two distinct layers, leading to the formation of small cyst-like spaces within the retina. This can result in impaired vision and may progress over time. Retinoschisis can be congenital or acquired and may affect one or both eyes.
