Renal Artery Aneurysm (RAA)

Definition

Renal artery aneurysm (RAA) is a rare condition characterized by the abnormal enlargement or bulging of the renal artery, which supplies blood to the kidneys. This enlargement can weaken the arterial wall and potentially lead to rupture, causing life-threatening internal bleeding. RAA can be caused by various factors, including genetic predisposition, atherosclerosis, and trauma.
