Pediatric-Type Follicular Lymphoma (PTFL)
Definition
Pediatric-type follicular lymphoma (PTFL) is a rare and indolent subtype of follicular lymphoma that primarily affects children and young adults. It is characterized by the proliferation of abnormal B-lymphocytes within the lymph nodes, leading to enlarged lymph nodes and potential involvement of other organs. PTFL has a favorable prognosis and often requires minimal treatment.
