Myxoid Liposarcoma
Definition
Myxoid liposarcoma is a rare type of soft tissue sarcoma characterized by the presence of malignant fat cells within a gelatinous, myxoid matrix. It is the most common subtype of liposarcoma and typically occurs in the deep soft tissues of the extremities, particularly in the thigh and buttock regions. Myxoid liposarcoma can be locally aggressive and has a potential for metastasis.
