Multifocal acquired demyelinating sensory and motor (MADSAM) neuropathy, also known as Lewis-Sumner syndrome, is a rare immune-mediated neurological condition characterized by asymmetric, progressive muscle weakness, sensory loss, and demyelination of peripheral nerves. It is considered a variant of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP).
