Muckle-Wells syndrome is a rare autoinflammatory disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of fever, rash, joint pain, and progressive sensorineural hearing loss. It is caused by mutations in the NLRP3 gene, which leads to excessive production of the pro-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-1β.
