Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance (MGUS)
Definition
Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) is a benign, asymptomatic condition characterized by the presence of abnormal monoclonal protein (M protein) in the blood. It is considered a precursor to certain blood cancers, such as multiple myeloma, but does not always progress to malignancy. Regular monitoring is recommended to detect any potential progression.
