Lupus meningitis, also known as aseptic meningitis in systemic lupus erythematosus, is an inflammatory condition affecting the meninges, the protective membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord, in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). This condition is characterized by the absence of bacterial infection.
