Lateral Epicondylitis (tennis elbow)
Definition
Lateral epicondylitis, also known as tennis elbow, is a condition characterized by pain and inflammation in the tendons that connect the forearm muscles to the lateral epicondyle, a bony prominence on the outer side of the elbow. It is commonly caused by repetitive strain or overuse of the forearm muscles and tendons, often due to activities like playing tennis or other racquet sports, manual labor, or typing.
