Laparoscopic Sacrocolpopexy

Definition

Laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat pelvic organ prolapse, specifically vaginal vault prolapse. During the procedure, the surgeon uses a laparoscope and small incisions to attach a synthetic mesh from the top of the vagina to the sacrum, providing support and restoring the normal position of the pelvic organs.
