Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism

Definition

Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism is a medical condition characterized by insufficient production of sex hormones due to a deficiency in the secretion of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) from the hypothalamus or inadequate secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) from the pituitary gland. This results in underdeveloped or impaired function of the testes in males and ovaries in females, leading to various symptoms and health issues.
