Hirschsprung's disease is a congenital disorder affecting the large intestine, characterized by the absence of nerve cells in the muscles of the colon, leading to difficulty in passing stool and causing bowel obstruction. It is usually diagnosed in newborns and infants, and may require surgery to remove the affected part of the colon.
