Electrodessication and Curettage (ED&C)

Definition

Electrodessication and curettage (ED&C) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat various skin lesions, such as warts, actinic keratoses, and certain types of skin cancer. The procedure involves scraping away the abnormal tissue with a curette, followed by the application of an electric current to the area to destroy any remaining cells and minimize bleeding.
