Ectopic Kidney

Definition

An ectopic kidney is a congenital condition in which one or both kidneys are located in an abnormal position within the body. This can occur due to improper migration of the kidneys during fetal development. While many individuals with ectopic kidneys may not experience any symptoms, some may have complications such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones, or hydronephrosis.
