Diffuse Alveolar Hemorrhage

Definition

Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) is a rare but potentially life-threatening medical condition characterized by widespread bleeding into the alveoli, the tiny air sacs in the lungs responsible for gas exchange. This bleeding can result from various causes, including autoimmune diseases, infections, or drug reactions, and can lead to impaired oxygenation and respiratory failure.
