Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP)
Definition
Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a rare type of skin cancer characterized by the slow-growing, locally aggressive tumor that arises in the dermis layer of the skin. It typically presents as a firm, raised, and sometimes discolored nodule or plaque. Although it rarely metastasizes, DFSP has a high local recurrence rate if not completely removed.
