Conversion disorder, also known as functional neurologic symptom disorder, is a mental health condition characterized by the presence of neurological symptoms that cannot be explained by a medical condition or another mental disorder. These symptoms are thought to be related to psychological factors and may occur in response to stress or emotional trauma.
