Client-Centered Therapy, Rogerian Therapy
Definition
Client-centered therapy, also known as Rogerian therapy, is a non-directive form of talk therapy developed by psychologist Carl Rogers. It focuses on providing a supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment in which clients can explore their feelings and thoughts, fostering self-awareness and personal growth. The therapist acts as a facilitator, reflecting the client's emotions and experiences back to them, enabling the client to gain insights and develop their own solutions.
