Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis (CRMO)

Definition

Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) is a rare, non-infectious inflammatory bone disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of bone pain, swelling, and inflammation in multiple locations throughout the skeletal system. The exact cause of CRMO is unknown, but it is believed to involve a combination of genetic and environmental factors, as well as an abnormal immune response.
