Choledochal Cyst

Definition

A choledochal cyst is a rare congenital condition characterized by the formation of a fluid-filled sac or dilation in the bile ducts, which can obstruct the flow of bile from the liver to the small intestine. This obstruction can lead to various complications, such as jaundice, pancreatitis, and an increased risk of developing bile duct cancer.
