Cardiac myxoma is a rare, benign tumor that develops in the heart, most commonly in the left atrium. It is composed of a gelatinous material and can cause various symptoms depending on its size and location. Although generally noncancerous, cardiac myxomas can lead to serious complications if left untreated, such as embolism, heart valve obstruction, or heart failure.
