Axial Spondyloarthritis (axSpA)
Definition
Axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) is a chronic inflammatory condition that primarily affects the spine and sacroiliac joints, causing pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. It is part of a larger group of conditions known as spondyloarthritis and can be further classified into two subtypes: non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA) and ankylosing spondylitis (AS).
