Arthroscopic Shoulder Decompression

Definition

Arthroscopic shoulder decompression is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to relieve pain and improve function in the shoulder joint by removing bone spurs or inflamed tissue that may be causing impingement or compression of the rotator cuff tendons. The procedure is performed using an arthroscope, a small camera, and specialized instruments inserted through small incisions in the shoulder.
