Adnexal Mass

Definition

An adnexal mass is an abnormal growth or lump that develops in the adnexa of the uterus, which includes the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and surrounding tissues. Adnexal masses can be benign or malignant and may result from various causes, such as cysts, tumors, or infections. Many adnexal masses go away on their own, but some require treatment, which may include surgery.
