Adie's Pupil, Adie Syndrome

Definition

Adie's pupil, also known as Adie syndrome, is a neurological condition characterized by a dilated pupil that reacts slowly to light and difficulty focusing on nearby objects. It is often caused by damage to the ciliary ganglion. The cause of such damage remains unclear, but may be due to bacterial or viral infection, trauma, or eye surgery that harmed nerves.
